MedTech Visionaries Awards have concluded their 2nd Annual program to provide recognition and increased visibility to a sector that continues to make a positive impact in how we view our world and interact with it. The event is hosted by the creative strategists at Light4Soul and was sponsored by Boost Awards. This year’s awards saw entries from around the world who have set the standard for innovation and creativity in the MedTech field. Based on the pool of entries the MVA’s judges selected Dymedso as the 2021 winner of the Best MedTech Medical Device in the Respiratory Field.

Dymedso was founded by Louis Plante, a Cystic Fibrosis patient, and Yvon Robert with the purpose of improving the quality and care of those struggling to breathe due to mucus filled lungs. The Company, a pioneer of the airway clearance device industry, developed the Frequencer®, a non-invasive chest physiotherapy treatment for patients with Cystic Fibrosis and other respiratory conditions.

The Frequencer® provides airway clearance therapy and promotes bronchial drainage by inducing vibration through the chest walls. This device is intended to be a component of chest physiotherapy by providing a convenient method of external thorax manipulation. The Frequencer® is indicated for patients who have respiratory ailments that involve defective mucociliary clearance, as typically seen in patients suffering from cystic fibrosis, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, ciliary dyskinesia syndromes, asthma, muscular dystrophy, neuromuscular degenerative disorders, post-operative atelectasis and thoracic wall defects. It is non-invasive and safe to use on all patients including neonates and infants, children, adults and elders.
